It's a public holiday today. I promised myself to complete some office work and surf the net to check out institutes to further my studies. The next moment, I found myself at the movie rental store.
Check out 'Crash'. Set over a span of two days, Los Angeles sees a series of events which leads to a number of individuals - racially and economically different - to interweave into each other's life.
I had the intention to bore myself but surprisingly, the movie kept me awake. It's plain interesting to watch two black men discuss about the society they live in, a white racist cop ends up rescuing the black woman whom he molested less than 24 hours ago, a well known director and his wife who were targets of racism, a Persian family man who bought a gun to protect his shop because many mistake him as an Arab, a veteran detective who neglects his drug addict mother and straying brother, a district attorney and his unhappy wife who always thinks negative of other races and a hispanic locksmith who needs to reassure his young daughter of bullets.
Enlightening.
P.S. Maybe a plus that Ryan Philippe is starring in it too. heh.

hey i watched it recently too :)
great show!
