All right, so The Brother got a pair of Nike HyperDunk Basketball Shoes from The Father. And I had a $200 voucher from Starhub from my own loyalty merits with the service provider. Though my LG chocolate is still working fine, despite having to be serviced twice for 'comatose', I thought no voucher of this value should go wasted (lest my exisiting LG Chocolate decides to pick a most untimely day to go dead).
The very pragmatic me considered carefully and thought that a Nokia or Samsung mobile would be the best of functional and user-friendly phones. I walked up to the service counter and 15 minutes later, I moseyed out of the store with a... Motorarz2 V9.
I haven't got the slightest clue what this little gadget is good for or how it works. I was simply blinded (well literally by its shell colour) and bowled over by the sleeky design. Two words - stylo milo.
I couldn't bear to peel the plastic shield off. Knowing me and my klutzy-self, it's best that I leave the protective layer on as long as it gets.
It must be the easiest deal the service staff closed in recent months. Under 15 minutes, I was already signing off the papers. I only asked three questions about the phone:
1. Is the dictionary for SMS as stupid as LG's? (Its predictive text is as good as Nokia's)
2. Is the service center anywhere near town? (There's one at The Cathay)
3. Can the mobile multi-task while the MP3 player is on? (Yes. I kid you not, but with LG Chocolate you can't do anything else while the player is on. Dumb right?)
I don't give much attention to the camera functions since my trusty Sony CyberShot is always with me. But I gave it a try anyway.
Turns out that the 2MP camera is pretty okay! I'm not fussy about the camera function; they can never measure up to proper digital cameras. The start-up and image-saving time is pretty fast. No lagging or whatsoever.
The MP3 player remains to be tested because I'm still in the midst of setting up the other features (e.g. the ring tone and the phonebook). The ring tone comes with a optional voice function, whereby the name of the caller is 'PA-ed' over the speaker (instead of the usual melody ring). But I guess you wouldn't want 'Mummy' being heard all over when you're in an important meeting. With the assist of the software programme, transferring files and updating contacts in the phonebook is easy breezy.
So far so good. I'd be flashing the phone pretty often. It calls for attention doesn't it? Hah!
