A great weekend, to me, consists of no work. Meaning no checking of office emails, no calls from work partners, no calls to work partners from me, no screw-up from the other side of the globe and no sleepless nights from stress and all that jazz.
So yeah, I had a great weekend.
It was The Boyfriend's brother's 21st birthday. I chomped down a couple bowls of laksa, cheese cakes and pasta, yet found myself unable to resist the temptation of the chocolate praline cake from The Patissier.
We caught a late night movie - Slumdog Millionaire. The film's great. You know, we should be more receptive and less judgmental just because we thought it's simply another Bollywood flick to keep our funny bones tickled. Well, it is not another dancing-under-the-coconut-trees-Indian-movie. If one is less ignorant, perhaps he/she would appreciate the unique perspective this film is trying to bring about. I've been to India enough times to know that the sad reality isn't made up for entertainment purposes. Anyway, good film. Must watch to know that the Incredible India ads have all along been a farce.
And I dirtied my hands on Sunday morning, making meatball prawn tomato pasta. Well, not entirely hand-made... but I did put in some effort smashing the tomatoes, peeling the prawns, frying the meatballs and melting the cheese... haha... Cooking's therapeutic. Cleans out the gunk in the mind.
And oh, the restless crab-craving in me has finally been out to a sleep. I'll be wanting more though. Curry crab for the next round!
So yay, I had a great weekend. =)
