sign of things to come

One day, I returned home to see the sofa's been shifted to make way for a more spacious living room.

Another day, I returned home to realised that my entire bag full of boots has been cleared away from behind the door to make way for... erm, a wider opening of the door.

And the next day, I returned home to find the coffee table's been set up to prepare for the display of the Christmas gifts - all wrapped up in red and gold ribbons

Last night, I returned home to find ornaments hanging from above the bar.

The works of The Mother. I feel bad that I haven't been around often lately to help out. (Except that one week which I used to clear just and only my room)

The party's my idea but The Mother's been busying herself over it.

Each year I want to drop the idea of holding the party at my place. But each year, I'm tempted to put my event planning skills to the challenge. And each year The Mother is compelled to give it her all to make my friends as comfortable as possible.

Maybe no more next year. It's time we get out there to the streets and share a 1 feet by 1 feet space with the rest of Singapore.
