When it comes to retro rock&roll, Aerosmith and Def Leppard is as far as I could go. (No Beatles for me thankyouverymuch)

Very often, I get questioned by my occidental clients about my name... As soon as they learn my name: "Angie? Angie! Oh Angie..." and they start crooning my name - for whatever reasons I have no idea. Usually I'll smile, most of the time I think those men just like to make fun of a beautiful-looking Chinese girl whose real name happens to be the short name of other real-name-Angela girls. Then I got to start explaining how my brilliant dad cannot spell 'Angela' (despite his years in an English college) and so 'Angie' was his best shot (at spelling).

Only until recently I realised what's this crooning of my name is about. On my recent trip to Dubai, one ang moh came up to ask my name:

"Hello darling! What is your good name?"

"Angie,"

"Oh Angie! You know that song about Angie?"

-pause-

"Angie as in 'Angie'?"

"Yeah. Rolling Stones. Very beautiful song. Never heard of it?"

Oh, Angie, Oh, Angie, when will those dark clouds disappear
Angie, Angie, where will it lead us from here
With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie, you can't say we never tried

Angie, you're beautiful, but ain't it time we said goodbye
Angie, I still love you, remember all those nights we cried

All the dreams we held so close seemed to all go up in smoke
Let me whisper in your ear
Angie, Angie, where will it lead us from here
Oh, Angie, don't you weep, all your kisses still taste sweet
I hate that sadness in your eyes
But Angie, Angie, ain't it time we said goodbye

With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
But angie, I still love you baby, ev'rywhere I look I see your eyes
There ain't a woman that comes close to you, come on baby, dry your eyes

But Angie, Angie ain't it good to be alive
Angie, Angie, they can't say we never tried

Is it me? Or does my name remind Keith Richards of despair, desperation, sadness, poorness, no hope, and all other negative aura this song is giving me? I don't remember driving anyone crazy, do I?

actually is there any chance that you will introduce yourself by your middle name?

Hmm I haven't done so. Perhaps I'm quite proud of my first name after all...
