"Loves jazz, films and lotsa dark chocolate."

These few words I attached to a recent picture of myself and off they went, to the caricature artist. A week later, I saw 'myself' hanging off the wall.

Now, that's lovely...

The office's pretty excited about our new working space. Everything's new - a perfect canvas to work our over-flowing imagination. We even talked about converting the attic into a lounge-bedroom. The wall outside the meeting room is huge and empty so we decided to decorate it with caricatures of the staff.

I say you win some you lose some. We studied the pictures for some time and thought that the artist did a very good job on my picture and one other colleague's (I should show you his soon). The rest isn't instantaneously recognisable. In fact, the pretty Kat looks a tad ugly in the caricature (thick lips short body). My receptionist looks entirely like someone else and I only recognised the picture of my boss because of the fengshui compass in the picture (fengshui fanatic he is).

Pretty strange, considering I sent this picture of myself:
There aren't many details in this picture, except for the facial features.

So I couldn't help but wonder, what gave the artist the inspiration to include a ponytail, long legs and heels, flowers (my favourite subject of photography), and a sling bag (which I've been carrying these few weeks)?

Certainly not my colleagues.
"Loves jazz, films and lotsa dark chocolate." was all they gave him. Hmm... interesting.

hor hor, the artist stalked you!

you look like a manga character in those pink cover girl japanese comic books hidden at the back of a comic store.

In your opinion, is this even a decently-drawn caricature?

in my honest opinion, it is.

but your opinion is what matters most.
