This, my friends, has got to be the best dessert around since the 1940s. (Okay, a tad exaggerating but you get the idea) You have to LURVE Cantonese dessert since Cantonese are a bunch of witty, sharp-tongue, throat-cutting people who can whip up nourishing soups and sweet desserts. I have no idea what I'm driving at.
Forget about that 二姑 dessert store your parents or older colleagues have been telling you about. Don't waste your calories on subprime food. 115 dessert store has been around for 40years and it only sells Cantonese-style dessert such as black sesame paste (must try!) , almond paste, red bean paste, walnut paste (must try!) and barley ginko soup.
After tasting a good number of other dessert establishments with Cantonese desserts, 115 makes the smoothest and most fragrant dessert paste.
Apparantly every bean is grounded with a tradtional stone mill. Can't get that any where else.

i have my reservation for 115.
Sometimes it taste good, but other times you feel like the peanut or sesame is from those off the shelf powder!
come to think of it, i still haven't visited the chinatown market after the renovation.
You do?
Hmm Guess I've been lucky. I eat it at least once a week and I still think it's the best. On the other hand, ErGu's dessert is so diluted I don't know what I'm eating.
ok, now you make me want to go back and verify.
Heh.
