Some time ago, I was inspired by a home and living guru who charmingly created a card with strips of Japanese-inspired dye-blended fabric. I decided to do something similar for Liming's birthday card.
Coincidentally Liming adores cats as much as I adore Prada dresses and coffee. So all I had to do is to copy the drawing of the cat from some webby because I cannot draw a decent-looking kitty without turning it into a doggie.
Then I added two different patterns of strips of Japanese-inspired origami paper to embellish the sofa. The strong highlight of the colourful origami paper stands out from the otherwise, plain black inked drawing.I'm so tempted to create more of these, with Grosgrain or Organza ribbon. In fact as I was wandering through the aisles at Spotlight, I couldn't help but felt the urge to sweep every roll of lovely ribbons into my shopping basket.
Darn, I must be possessed.
