Though I don't always have to go for triple digit worth of chocolate selection box, I am still pretty anal about the chocolate I pop into my mouth.
On days when I feel like having more than just pure chocolate, I look for Maltesers from Watsons. It used to be my staple. Dark chocolate outer with honeycomb malt centre. But the candy always seem to lack the 'crunch'. You know, the kinda 'crunch' addictiveness when we open the bag of chips. And also I suspect the chocolate outer is made of el cheapo chocolate. So I gave up Maltesers because it's just money spent without fixing my 'dark chocolate crunch' craving.
And recently I found the answer to my super-anal craving! Chris & Larry's Clodhoppers - a product of Canada - is founded by (well yeah) Chris & Larry. Already the package warns that its content is highly addictive. And it is!
According to their grandma's recipe, Clodhoppers offers graham wafer clusters clumped with dark chocolate fudge. Each cluster is nearly the size of a 20cent coin. A good size of fill my mouth with tasty chocolate. The crunchiness got me addicted, and soon I was emptying my second and third packet.
Deliciously dark crunchy!
I have a dozen packs of these in my cabinet. So at any time when my craving kicks in, I know where to look for that 'high'.
Currently I only know Hougang Mall NTUC sells this awesome bonbon. I hope all major supermarket will stock this up soon!
