quick notes from dongguan

Posted in ,

The weather here in Dong Guan isn't as harsh as I thought it'd be. Sometimes mild drizzles, most part of the day is fair and cool. I haven't had the opportunity to use the warm pads, which is a good thing.

I'm currently putting up at a business hotel which has a KTV operating on the ground level. Every evening I would be greeted by hostesses wearing pink gowns, standing by the entrance. Except they aren't interested in greeting me. It's so obvious I'm not that 'target market'. Anyway the room's clean and spacious, has free internet (when connection doesn't break down), and decent TV channels (I couldn't find a decent English channel though...). Well, it's RMB 120 per night (approx. SG$24); I can't complain.

My colleagues have repeatedly warned me not to venture out on my own late in the evening. But the malls are just a mere 2minute walk from my hotel. Very tempting. But everyone of them kept repeating the same advice to me: DO NOT GO OUT ON YOUR OWN AT NIGHT. Right right. Even though KFC, Giodarno Concepts, Adidas and Nike are damn tempting...

So I hurried off the the supermarket while the day is still bright, stocked up instant noodles, coffee and juice like there's no tomorrow and slacked off the entire night in my room watching FRIENDS and surfing the net. Oh I am not sure if I should consume the milk here...

Well, you are already having their instant noodles, I'm not sure milk can cause more harm, but yes, I know what you mean =P

LOL... well yeah... You're quite right.
