It seems that it has become a habit of many Singaporeans to add prepositions into sentences which do not require them.

Apparently, we 'wash up ourselves', 'reach to school at 8a.m.' and 'voice out our feelings'. But we do not. We 'wash ourselves', 'reach the school at 8a.m.' and 'voice our frustrations'.

Sometimes 'we all' will meet 'you all' at the train station to go watch 'they all' play soccer.

Are English teachers missing the point or have youngsters been skipping lessons?
